Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Antenatal and Newborn Screening Failsafe Officer to join our Screening team in Maternity in Eastern services, based at Wonford Hospital. The role of the Failsafe Officer will include facilitating the implementation, monitoring and maintaining the safety and quality assurance for the National Antenatal and Newborn (ANNB) Screening programmes. The role will support data collation for all the screening programmes and work closely with the Antenatal and Newborn Screening Coordinators. The post holder will facilitate failsafe mechanisms to identify and prevent missed screening opportunities and maintain audit for all the ANNB screening programmes, including collecting cohort data for the Key Performance Indicators (KPI). The role will work closely with the Screening coordinator to communicate to other professionals within the mutli disciplinary team in relation to these screening programmes.
