Team Leader/Service Administrator

Job summary

Supervise and support the administrative team; including carrying out regular PDRs, 1:1s, sickness absence monitoring, annual leave monitoring, recruitment & training of new team members.

Provide excellent customer care, which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy.

To provide a full and efficient secretarial service to consultants and clinical teams. This will include proof reading, minute taking, diary management and ensuring that all documentation is produced to an excellent standard.

Promote a positive and supportive team culture.

Monitor waiting lists and PTL Identify capacity issues and work proactively to support future service planning.

Assist with set up of clinics in EPIC Attend and contribute to regular team and service meetings, Strong communication and organisational skills are a must, as you will play a vital role in shaping a supportive and efficient working environment.

    Are you an enthusiastic, motivated administrator ready to make a real difference? Were looking for a dynamic individual to lead and inspire our administrative teams within the Healthcare for Older People Department at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This role will be based in William Wright House on Wonford site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in professional development and would like to take the next step into management and leadership. This is a very busy and fast paced environment which will give the right person fantastic experience to take their career to the next level.

    In this exciting role, youll take charge of the day-to-day management and leadership of our admin team, driving the delivery of outstanding, patient-centred services. Youll work alongside clinicians, management, and colleagues to ensure smooth operations and exceptional patient care. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven experience in dealing with service users on the telephone. You will be flexible and adaptable with excellent IT skills.

    As a Team we are encouraging of personal and professional development, full training and support would be provided to help you learn and develop within this role.
