Exe ward is looking for a motivated, efficient, well organised and experienced Ward Sister with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

As an acute specialist ward we are pivotal in delivering high quality and expert care for our diverse group of patients. We believe that by providing the best and most efficient and effective care can positively impact the patients journey providing the greatest outcomes for them. Exe Ward is committed in delivering safe harm free care to our patients. Vascular experience is desirable.

The successful candidate will require an aspiration to succeed in a highly functional and challenging area. The candidate will be required to:

• Promote, teach and support the team with skilled surgical nursing care.
• Provide and engage with patients with specific needs to enhance the care delivered
• Perform venepuncture, cannulation, complexed wound care and clinical tasks as directed by the nursing and surgical team.
• Be able to provide excellent care and monitor post-operative vascular patients and general surgical patients.
• Be able to provide excellent care to ITU Stepdown patients, End of Life patients that are for palliation.
• Be able to work closely & support nursing team to help them with their workload.
• Help facilitate safe patient discharge home, placement & community hospital.
• Be an expert when it comes to dealing with vascular procedures and management.
• Will continue to develop the culture of kindness and compassion in the ward.

Working Pattern: 34.5 hours per week. Mixture of shifts as well as Bank Holidays.
