This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Eastern Services) as part of our dynamic inpatient Physiotherapy service working on the Royal Devon & Exeter (Wonford) Hospital site.

We have a substantive, full time (37.5 hours) opportunity within our Physiotherapy team covering the Vascular & General Surgery wards. The role will involve providing comprehensive assessment and appropriate Physiotherapeutic interventions to patients with a range of conditions including acutely unwell respiratory patients.

Post holders will be expected to have efficient ward management skills and comprehensive Clinical skills to manage a Clinical caseload across the Surgery wards and critical care. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly to support their Occupational Therapy colleagues in ensuring safe and timely discharges. There will also be an opportunity to supervise and support more junior and unregistered staff to develop in their role and to work with managers to develop the service in line with patient need and Trust wide developments.

Based within the heart of beautiful Devon and just off the M5, Exeter has a lot to offer, with a stunning coastline and picturesque moors within throwing distance of the city.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:15 - 16:30 with weekends and on-calls on a rota basis (typical frequency once weekend day and on-call per month). All members of the team will be expected to work flexibly responding to the needs of the Physiotherapy Service.
