Job summary

  • Supporting the development of databases for involvement and engagement in provider organisations
  • Delivery of the Patient Research Experience Survey (PRES)
  • Supporting the maintenance and development of databases of patients
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR
  • Supporting the Communications and Engagement Manager /ILD Manager in the production and circulation of regular newsletters
  • Establishment of systems and working with stakeholders to disseminate involvement opportunities and forge links with researchers
  • Representing and networking with other R&D organisations across the country/internationally
  • Potential for training, supervision or management of other staff
  • Supporting the ILD Administrators with organising meetings and events, capturing information and producing reports

The Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) sees patients from all across the South West region. The service also supports all of the ILD patients under the Nintedanib trial.

The Network and Patient Engagement Officer will be responsible for engaging with the ILD patients, ensuring patient voices are heard and the service continues to achieve high-quality care.

This post holder will also be responsible for coordinating and recruiting patients into commercial Clinical trials for the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will provide expert knowledge, skill and experience in this specialist field, and act as an expert resource to advise and support those involved in Clinical trials at all levels.

The post holder will be able to autonomously plan, implement, organise and manage workloads.

The post holder may source and manage funding for Clinical trials and will develop networks with other disciplines across the Trust and other appropriate local and national agencies.

The post holder will coordinate and manage the study portfolio and recruitment accrual in line with performance and monitoring metrics.

Working Pattern: 18.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00
