An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Waiting List Coordinator in the Endoscopy Team based in the Endoscopy Unit in the main hospital on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2024. We are looking for an individual to work as part of an established team providing an efficient service to the clinical Endoscopy team and the general public.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Providing excellent customer care. Hospital visits can be stressful and daunting, so you will be a great communicator with strong customer service skills to put our patients at ease, treating them with tact and empathy.
  • Ensuring all booking processes and enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner. Typical tasks that you will complete are:
  1. Booking endoscopy procedures
  2. Monitoring waiting lists
  3. Updating patient pathways following the Referral To Treatment guidelines
  4. Liaising with the pre-assessment team, Nursing team, Clinicians and other admin teams
  • Assisting and supporting other members of the administrative team across the department or division, including dealing with telephone calls and resolving enquiries for patients, their carers and visitors.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate ability in using their initiative, have excellent organisational, communication/interpersonal skills and IT skills, be a team player, be professional and reliable with excellent customer service skills.
