We are seeking to appoint dynamic, experienced Operating Department Practitioners or Nurses for Anaesthetic duties (4 years minimum experience). You will plan and manage the implementation of individual care programmes for patients, in the perioperative journey, as part of the theatre team. You will provide and deliver a comprehensive service which will include a high quality of patient care.

General Theatres undertake a wide range of specialities in both the elective and emergency settings including Orthopaedic Trauma, ENT, Max-Fac, Plastics, Breast, Vascular, General Surgery (inc. upper GI/Colorectal) and Urology (Inc. Robotic procedures). As part of the Anaesthetic Team we also cover Obstetrics and Gynaecology within the Centre for Womens Health, plus a wide-range of remote area Anaesthesia across the hospital (including MRI, Endoscopy, Cardiology etc.) experience in remote area working is essential.

You will be required to work as part of a 24 hour unit participating in on calls, weekend working, sleep-in standbys (covering maternity) and night duties.

Cell-salvage competency/experience is desirable, though we can facilitate in-house training for those who are unfamiliar with the process.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours (usually 3 x 8 - 6 shifts, 1 x 12 - 9 or sleep-in Maternity Standby)
