Job summary
a)Working alongside divisional and care group colleagues from across Wessex, the post holder will lead and be responsible for evaluating several projects aligned to the Wessex Trauma Network Spinal Cord Injury workforce projects. They will need a high degree of motivational skill, working closely with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, clinical and non-clinical and where appropriate the wider healthcare community. They will need experience of influencing behaviour, in often challenging situations.
b)The post holder must be able to encourage and enthuse others to implement change at many levels, from local improvements to broad implementation of national initiatives and directives.
c)The post holder will have a high degree of autonomy with minimal direction, manage a demanding workload to deliver sustainable improvement, ensure projects are realised against conflicting priorities.
d)This role requires knowledge and experience in the application of service redesign, project management and Quality Improvement tools and techniques.
e)This post holder will work in a matrix structure with the Wessex Trauma Network Director of Rehabilitation, the Wessex Trauma Network Manager, across UHS and all acute providers of the Wessex Trauma Network.

About us
We have been working with other local NHS Trusts to create a new organisation, bringing together all community, mental health and learning disability services from across Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Subject to approvals, the aim is for the new Trust to be formed by the end of 2024.
Project Fusion is the name for the programme to create the new combined NHS Foundation Trust. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be bringing the services into a single organisation will result in more consistent care, more equitable access to services irrespective of postcode, and a more sustainable workforce and services. The new organisation will operate locally to ensure services can best meet the needs of different communities.
The new Trust will be comprised of all the services currently provided by Solent NHS Trust and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, the community, mental health and learning disability services provided by Isle of Wight NHS Trust and child and adolescent mental health services delivered in parts of Hampshire by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Colleagues will transfer to the new organisation under Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) -- known as TUPE on the day the trust is formed. TUPE is a legal process to ensure you transfer out of one organisation and into another, maintaining the terms and conditions of your employment.

Analyse complex, sensitive and conflicting information and datasets including activity and patient flows, demand/capacity and performance data. Present information appropriately to the audience to enable them to act.
Apply well-developed influencing and negotiating skills to discuss both good and poor findings in services. Use these skills to successfully challenge current practice and offer new solutions for working.
Employ change management, negotiating and diplomacy skills to overcome resistance and elicit support for new and innovative solutions for service redesign and delivery amongst teams.
