Job summary
We are excited to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Business Systems & Data Officer, to work alongside our Occupational Health and Wellbeing Team, supporting our extensive and ever developing Solent NHS staff across Hampshire and IOW including our external customer base and health and Wellbeing programme.
Our Solent NHS Trust OH service specialises in the care and well-being of people in the workplace.Here at Solent NHS Trust we pride ourselves on providing a high quality SEQOHS accredited Occupational Health & Wellbeing service for staff working in a range of public and private sector organisations.
We provide Occupational Health advice, support and recommendations to Solent staff and employees of external clients.Our team have played a pivotal role in supporting our staff during the pandemic and we continue to be at the centre of developing health and wellbeing advice and support to staff and managers.
This post primarily involves delivering the Business Systems & Data service needs of the Solent NHS Trust Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service, working within a growing admin team which includes the wider OH team and senior managers, delivering high quality customer care.
Main duties of the job
As part of a multidisciplinary team you will be leading on systems & data support across our services and campaigns working with a number of databases, platforms and internal systems to provide data capture, reports and implementing smarter ways of working to enable the service to positively develop.
You will be required to design and improve the bookings, clinical systems, diaries, and ongoing updates.These include, but are not limited to, flu and vaccine campaigns, software development, data coordinationand application and functionality improvements across our clinical record database. Data quality and performance reporting in line with GDPR and IG protocols, to meet the requirements of service delivery and ensuring that developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are in place and adhered to.You will develop and write user documentation to advise and train our people, ensuring the quality of staff clinical records and associated reporting is maintained through audit and review. To organise and attend relevant meetings with system providers, senior team and data/performance colleagues to support improvement taking responsibility for timely actions.

About us
We have been working with other local NHS Trusts to create a new organisation, bringing together all community, mental health and learning disability services from across Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Subject to approvals, the aim is for the new Trust to be formed by July 2024.Project Fusion is the name for the programme to create the new combined NHS Foundation Trust. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be bringing the services into a single organisation will result in more consistent care, more equitable access to services irrespective of postcode, and a more sustainable workforce and services. The new organisation will operate locally to ensure services can best meet the needs of different communities.The new Trust will be comprised of all the services currently provided by Solent NHS Trust and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, the community, mental health and learning disability services provided by Isle of Wight NHS Trust and child and adolescent mental health services delivered in parts of Hampshire by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.Colleagues will transfer to the new organisation under Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) -- known as TUPE on 1st July 2024. TUPE is a legal process to ensure you transfer out of one organisation and into another, maintaining the terms and conditions of your employment.
