We are looking for Ward Hosts to join our team!
Solent NHS Trust are looking to recruit 2 x 20 hours a week positions to on the Jubilee Unit at Harry Sotnik House and 1 x 14 hour a week position to work on Spinnaker Ward at St. Marys Community Healthcare Campus.
The role will involve working on wards taking patient meal orders and serving meals and drinks to patients as well as working in the kitchen area covering all kitchen duties such as basic food preparation, serving staff and visitors and general cleaning duties.
The roles will involve some weekend working.

Main duties of the job
General Requirements:
- Familiar with & adhere to trust policies/procedures at all times
- Comply with trust standing orders, standing financial instructions, policies, procedures & guidelines
- Follow policies/procedures about infection, prevention & control
- Aware of their responsibilities to safeguard children/vulnerable adults & the responsibilities placed on individuals who care for them
- Adhere to relevant safeguarding policies, act in a way that safeguards the health, safety & well-being of children/vulnerable adults at all times
- Take reasonable steps to manage/promote a safe & healthy working environment free from discrimination
- Comply with trust policy on confidentiality & the Data Protection Act 1998 as amended, relating to information held manually or on computerised systems
- Respect the confidentiality & privacy of clients & staff
- Maintain constant awareness of health, welfare & safety issues affecting colleagues, patients, visitors & themselves, reporting any accidents or fault in line with trust policy
- Fully participate in health & safety training
- Complete statutory/mandatory, personal training, development, appraisal & attend relevant training courses as required
- Comply with the professional body code of conduct
- Protect the environment by reducing waste & travel whilst at work
