We are looking for an experienced registered practitioner who has effectively led teams and worked in secondary care mental health services. Based on the South coast in our community services you will develop & lead a new portfolio focussed on supporting people with mental health issues to live well in their communities.
This will include leading the newly redesigned One Referral : One AHP (Allied Health Professional) model of working across the older and adult mental health services. And developing and implementing the Personality Trauma Response Programme. Both teams are designed to enable relational consistency during transitions within service and access to a varied range of intervention choices.

Main duties of the job
The Personality & Trauma Response Programme is a key part of the exciting work being undertaken in Portsmouth in response to the Community Mental Health Framework. This is a new team and will deliver improved community-based care for people who have difficulties associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder or complex emotional needs. This will include a group programme of occupational, social, peer & psychological interventions which will deliver consistency, enable creativity, connection and hope; Enabling the expansion of Solent Recovery College; plus training and consultancy to and alongside community partners. This post provides leadership for Allied Health Professionals (AHP) within the service and Recovery Approach across the Trust. As a senior and experienced manager, the post holder will provide operational and professional leadership and support to service line leads, as well as providing advice to the Senior Leadership Team, Service Managers and community partners.
The post will be key to developing and delivering the Personality & Trauma Response vision in line with the No Wrong Door Community Mental Health Transformation; the Recovery Approach and One Referral: One AHP service, in response to the Mental Health Service Directorate workstreams. The post holder will project manage areas of work as directed by the Consultant Occupational Therapist (AHP & DBT Lead).
