Applications are invited for the position of Senior Clinical Support Worker for the Community Paediatric Medical Service (CPMS) - East where we cover locations including Portsmouth City, Havant and Fareham & Gosport. The CPMS provides community health services for children aged 0-19 years. Within this, specifically, are two domains; services for children with neurodevelopmental needs and specific safeguarding services, which include Child Protection Medical Services and statutory health services for children who are looked after (LAC) and undergoing the adoption process. In addition, the service provides additional advisory and designated duties for safeguarding, looked after children, public health, research, and medical education.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to lead a team of Health Care Support Workers to provide clinical support and administrative assistance for the Community Paediatricians and the Nursing Team by offering support before, during and after Neurodevelopment and Looked After Children clinical sessions to ensure they run efficiently and effectively, whilst ensuring the health and wellbeing of the children and young people is always priority. When requested, provide vision, hearing, and growth screening across various community-based sites within Portsmouth City and Southeast Hampshire as required. To coordinate and provide administrative support to the CPMS clinics, including preparation and any follow up required and to ensure accurate updating of electronic patient records. To gather and collate user response forms and assist the Clinical Team Coordinator with the reporting of responses of service users.
