Job summary
We are looking for a experienced CBT Therapist with a background of working with people experiencing First Episode of Psychosis. The ideal candidate will also be trained in Behavioural Family Therapy, CAARMS and have knowledge and skills of working with trauma.
This is a new post created with transformation funding to enhance the provisions of psychological interventions to people in secondary care and also deliver interventions to patients who fall between primary and secondary services. They will be employed within secondary care mental health services and work across ARMS and EIP. The post holder will be undertaking Comprehensive Assessment of at Risk Mental States (CAARMS), offering CBT and Family Interventions.
At Risk Mental State Service is a new and exciting service that will work with individuals from the age of 14- 30 who may be at risk of developing psychosis. The purpose will be to offer brief holistic psychological and psychosocial interventions to prevent further development of psychotic symptoms.
Main duties of the job
*To contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice, through active participation in internal and external CPD training and development programmes, in consultation with the postholder's professional and service manager(s).
*To contribute to the development and articulation of best practice in psychology across the service, by continuing to develop professional skills of a reflexive and reflective scientist practitioner, taking part in regular professional supervision and continuing professional development.
*To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic data entry and recording, report writing and the responsible exercise of professional self-governance in accordance with professional codes of practice and Trust policies and procedures.
*To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and issues in relation to both the specific client group and mental health.
