'Hi, I'm Fiona! I joined the Learning Environment Team last year after working for many years as an adult nurse in a wide variety of both clinical and non-clinical settings. I am passionate about supporting others in their education journey and therefore love this role as it shares my vision- it is exciting, fun, rewarding, changeable, progressive, and sometimes challenging. My main role is to provide guidance and support to nursing students and their assessors working within the trust as well as working with placement teams to create a culture of learning. I work as part of a multidisciplinary team and we all support each other in carrying out our roles to the best of our abilities. I feel very privileged to be part of a fun, motivated and dedicated team.'
The Learning Environment Team strives to provide outstanding community placement experiences so that we can work collaboratively to develop a future clinical workforce that delivers healthcare excellence. We are looking to recruit an individual that shares our passion for learning and supporting others.
This role involves building and maintaining relationships with all our learners, colleagues and placement teams. The post holder will primarily be supporting pre-registration Adult Nursing students. There would be a requirement for multidisciplinary working and to support other learner types such as AHP students.
For this post, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to the use of a car.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a registered professional with recent experience of supporting students in practice.
The successful candidate will:
*Support students in practice through a variety of platforms,
*Support placement areas in supporting and assessing students,
*Engage with stakeholders to develop and share learning
*Contribute towards a positive and beneficial placement experience for students
*Deliver relevant training to placement areas
