Job summary

Are you an experienced Programme Manager with a desire to learn, have a love of creative thinking and looking to make a difference to thousands of people's lives? If you are then we are looking for you in our Mental Health and Learning Disabilities service line.

In this role you will be a core part of the senior leadership team and be key to influencing and delivering a wide variety of exciting and complex national and local priorities. There is significant transformation across the service line and an ongoing focus on continuous improvement. You will be working across multiple teams and partners so fantastic relationship development and management skills are an essential. This position will suite someone who is able to be adaptable and is experienced at delivering at pace and also able to support strategic planning and delivery.

Main duties of the job

This is a senior leadership role, with delegated authority to lead and coordinate programmes of work across Mental Health and Learning Disability Services at Solent NHS Trust. The post holder will develop and maintain positive and productive relationships and excel at instigating good practice and identifying opportunities for learning and service improvement.

As a senior leader this post will work as part of the Senior Leadership Team and actively lead and participate in the transformation and continuous improvement of the service line.

Working with teams across the service line, the post holder will be accountable for the development and delivery of complex programmes of work utilising positive relationships both internally and with partners and robustly incorporate coproduction within their programmes of work. Programmes of work will meet the National, local and regional requirements. The post holder will be expected to be able to adapt to the changing requirements of the service line and bring energy, ideas and momentum to continuous improvement of the current and future delivery of services.

The postholder will have close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners, including, the ICB, Portsmouth City Council, The Hive, local VCSE, Heads of Service, the Head of Quality and Professions, clinical leads, Operations Director, Business Manager and Project Managers.
