Domestic Assistants at Solent provide cleaning services to our Clinical Spaces at Jubilee House in Cosham which is accessible by public transport.
We want you to form part of our friendly and supportive team who are dedicated to providing a clean, safe and caring environment for our patients, colleagues and visitors. What a great time to support the patients experience within Solent!
This is a part time position to work out of clinic hours between 5-8pm Monday to Friday. If you want to show off your customer service skills, we would love to hear from you! You will be fully supported and put through a thorough training programme with plenty of opportunities for development.
Main duties of the job
To assist in achieving and maintaining a clean hospital environment in accordance with the standards laid down in the Cleaner Hospitals and Infection Control guidelines.
To maintain the hospital environment as a whole, not just any area specified to work on as per rota, so that it supports the medical care and health improvement of all patients on site. The main duties will be broken down into daily, weekly & monthly tasks as follows:
- replenish stocks ensuring that stock rotation procedures are followed
- empty waste bins
- clean toilets, basins, mirrors, toilet brush holders, and floor
- damp dust toilet cubicles ensuring area is cleaned form ceiling to floor, fixtures and fittings
- mop all hard floor areas. In severe weather this may be required more frequently ,or if requested to do so by clinical/non clinical staff
- ensure linen rooms are kept clean and tidy
- ensure all clinical and domestic waste is removed from all areas replacing bins bags and cleaning bins as appropriate
- thoroughly clean office areas undertaking spot checks, revisiting areas & responding to cleanliness level as appropriate
- clean internal glass periodically throughout the day
- all fixtures & fittings are damp dusted in all areas
- All furniture is moved and deep cleaned as necessary
- On a monthly basis ensure all areas are high dusted
