This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our commercial and strategic transformation team supporting Solent NHS Trust to deliver its strategic objectives in line with the Trust's organisational strategy and the local integration agenda. Advertised as a fixed term contract there is possibility of a substantive role in the future.
The successful candidate will provide planning and project management skills to support a range of organisational projects, including business development schemes, (de)mobilisation projects, bidding processes, procurement processes and other planning and project workstreams which support delivery of the Trust's objectives.
The postholder will work with a range of individuals and teams across the organisation, including Executives, senior service leads, corporate leads, commissioners, other colleagues within the commercial team and other stakeholders.
This is an opportunity to support delivery of NHS priorities, help services improve and retain existing business, and ensure a methodical, structured approach to procurement, business development and change management processes.
Main duties of the job
Project Management -You will provide project management skills to support a range of critical projects, which may include business development projects, service (de)mobilisations, processes to prepare for and deliver procurement activity, business planning and contract review programmes and work in support of the local system integration agenda. You will have responsibility for a range of key tasks across multiple projects working independently daily, using initiative to ensure conflicting priorities are managed, mitigated, and escalated appropriately. In addition, you will maintain a central project risk register, including tracking of key milestones, issues, and risks and undertake analysis of key information and data and producing high quality reports to support project opportunities.
Commercial Tendering, Business Development, and Income Generation -The successful candidate will support senior service leads, the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, Commercial Heads and Commercial Business Partners to retain existing business and deliver Trust business objectives. This may include coordinating and producing responses to formal tender, producing business cases for new business and income generation schemes, and presenting ideas and updates to stakeholders within and outside of the Trust. You will support Clinical/Operational Directors and their senior management teams working closely and sensitively with a wide variety of stakeholders who may have conflicting interests.
