Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 37.5 hour per week post for a band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse or OT within Portsmouth Early Intervention in Psychosis Team. The team currently cover the age range of 14 to 65 years of age. It operates on the 14 day referral to treatment model for first episodes in psychosis. You will need the following for this role:
- A Registered Mental Health Nurse/OT registration/qualification
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Demonstrate an understanding of mental health issues with experience of dealing with emotional distress.
- To effectively co-ordinate the care of a complex caseload of service users experiencing a FEP and offer a NICE concordant package of care.
- To provide recovery focussed therapeutic interventions in line with the agreed care plan and risk assessment.
- To assess risk, develop risk management plans, review, and adjust in line with the service user's needs.
- To work in collaboration with service users as experts in their own care, promoting the principles of recovery, choice and personalisation, which value and empower the service user.
