Job summary
We are looking for people who are caring, hard-working, have effective communication skills, and are flexible to join our Community team as a Healthcare Support Worker.
You would be working closely with a range of professionals to provide care and rehabilitation programmes to clients who require immediate intensive care to enable them to stay in their home environment and reach an optimum level of self-care.
This will include, helping with personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and encouraging mobility/supporting patients with exercise programmes. You would also be undertaking tasks such as monitoring of vital signs, applying wound dressings, carrying out ECGs, and taking bloods. You will be provided with training and support to achieve competencies in these areas.
You will need to be able work over a seven day period, working between the hours of 08:00 and 22:00. We will provide a full induction, regular support along with excellent ongoing training opportunities, so you can develop new skills and strengths.
Full Driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
Main duties of the job
- All Community Support Workers will have a core basis of clinical skills and competencies.
- After appropriate training and development, to provide physical and psychological care to patients as part of a specified plan of clinical care.
- To record timely and accurate patient information.
- To support the administration processes when working with Clinicians in ED
