Job summary
We have an exciting new opportunity for a full-time (37.5 hours) Inpatient Ward Facilities Co-ordinator to join our vibrant Inpatient Administration Team based at The Orchards and The Limes in Portsmouth (onsite Parking available). You will work alongside Reception, Administrative and Secretarial colleagues supporting our Inpatient Wards, Clinical Staff and Doctors, as well as liaise in person and by telephone with patients, patients families/Carer's and Professionals alike.
For this role you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work flexibly, multitask and prioritise your work throughout the day, as well as enjoy a varied workload that includes supporting on/escalating IT, facilities and maintenance issues across the site. You will be comfortable working alone or with colleagues in a fast-paced office and ward setting and be confident in escalating matters for urgent focus.

Main duties of the job
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the service.
- Work as part of a skill mix team to provide a comprehensive administrative support service.
- Effectively prioritise and manage own workload and oversee workload of team as necessary, whilst always maintaining confidentiality and diplomacy at all times, independently and, as part of a team.
- Work without direct supervision and show extensive use of initiative in prioritising and making decisions in relation to effectively supporting the smooth operation of the service.
- Carry out other duties as necessary to meet the changing needs of Solent NHS Trust, in accordance with management requirements and appropriate to banding.
- All duties will be carried out within the Trust's Information Governance, recording, and data sharing procedures and guidance
