Job summary

The Solent Musculoskeletal Service (MSK) Service provides MSK assessment and treatment for patients presenting with a MSK presentation. We're looking for a static physiotherapist to join our team working from our key hub sites and other community settings. The MSK Service has a Specialist MSK Service managing those patients that require diagnostics or onward referral. the current vacancies are within our locations across Portsmouth and Southampton.

The MSK Service also has an expansive presence of First Contact Practitioners in our city localities.

Within the MSK Service there is also Adolescent MSK, Pelvic Health and Hydrotherapy and has close links with Persistent Pain Service. Chronic Fatigue and Podiatry. In our team, we ensure a supportive environment with plenty of development opportunities for all staff for their continual professional development and career progression.

The aim of the MSK Service is to improve individual's optimal health outcomes regarding musculoskeletal health through, advice, exercise, self-management, and treatment interventions.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for implementing within your clinical practice the standards and policies in each specialty

Maintain a high standard of clinical care using evidence based practices and evaluate the outcomes.

Responsible as an autonomous practitioner to undertake a significant clinical caseload.

Undertake the comprehensive assessment of patients using investigative and analytical skills and seek guidance from senior staff

Devise an individualised physiotherapy management / treatment plan, using clinical reasoning skills, utilising a range of treatment options in formulating a programme of care in consultation with the patient.

Be professionally, legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your professional activities working within codes of practice and professional guidelines.

Keep accurate, legible records of patient care in line with service guidelines
