Job summary
This is a 5 PA post within the Community Paediatric team at UHB. The team is commissioned to provide community paediatric services for Solihull GP registrant population. This post arises due to increasing clinical demand and changes to work plan.
You will be expected to undertake one specialist community paediatric clinic every week and one special school clinic once in 2 weeks with appropriate time available for administration and liaison. This post also has safeguarding cover as 1 in 4 and that is done in a newly refurbished suite in Solihull hospital and is supported by peer review

Main duties of the job
Our community paediatrics is small team but delivers a good service. We are innovative and have mutual respect and have close links with our acute services and CAMHS team to ensure we deliver holistic care.
The post holder will:
*Provide 1 Community Paediatric clinic, and 1 special school clinic every other week with allocated administration time
*Be competent to carry out comprehensive paediatric health and developmental and ADHD assessments
*Liaise as appropriate with schools, allied health professionals and other agencies.
*Provide support and reports for Special education needs and disability team for the patients
*Complete Child safeguarding medical examinations and provide reports/attendance to conference/meetings/court as required.
*Risk and clinical governance lead for the department and maintaining professional competence
*Participate in clinical governance activities including audits, and other supporting activities as directed by the needs of the service.
*Respond to and engage with any complaints or investigations within the department
*Attend statutory, essential and mandatory training.
*Attend and keeping up to date with child safeguarding training as per Trust requirements
