Job summary

We're looking for a passionate, forward-thinking Cancer Pharmacist to join our Cancer Services team at UHB as a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist in Haematology and Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred pharmaceutical care within haematology and cellular therapies such as CAR-T.

In this permanent position, you'll work closely with the Lead ATMP Pharmacist -- Haematology to manage the growing ATMP service. Your time will be split between the CAR-T/ATMP and Haematology services, with the potential for increased involvement in the former as the ATMP service expands.

The Pharmacy Cancer Services Division at UHB provides world class cancer care to patients from across the country, with a range of specialised services in oncology and haematology including stem cell transplantation and CAR-T, delivered by a team of pharmacy specialists. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cutting-edge therapies, ensuring the safe, effective, and timely delivery of treatment.

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities would include:

* To manage the day-to-day delivery of clinical pharmacy services to ATMP and haematology patients, including inpatient and outpatient care.

* Support delivery and development of the Haematology ATMP programme, providing expert pharmaceutical advice on safe and compliant ATMP use.

* To support the training and development of pharmacists in the field of ATMPs.

* Promote safe, effective, and cost-efficient medicines use through ward-based services and multidisciplinary collaboration.

* Work as a non-medical prescriber in haematology outpatient clinics and prescribe ongoing anticancer treatment if appropriate and required

* Contribute to audit and research programmes as needed.

* Support the weekend and on-call rota
