Job summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a clinical trial coordinator post within the Research, Development and Innovation (R, D & I) department at UHB. The post is full time permanent post based with the Core Delivery team at Solihull Hospital.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced individual who will be responsible for assisting the research nurses, consultants and Clinical Trial co-ordinator with clinical trial administration/Data Management. The core delivery team cover multiple specialities across the Trust and the post holder will be working on a variety of research studies and clinical trials.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate relevant research experience, preferably in the NHS. You will need to meet the challenge of working autonomously and within a team. The Data Manager will be responsible for ensuring the portfolio of trials are run to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards. This role is a supportive to the clinical team, to enable the clinical team to be patient facing, and manage the non-clinical aspects of research studies The post holder will be expected to contribute to databases for clinical studies and registries of research patients for local and national research projects. This will require the post holder to combine their IT knowledge with knowledge of the clinical research process.

- *Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment.

- *Education to A level or equivalent

- *Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience
- *Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word, Excel and Outlook)
