An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and compassionate Health Care Assistants to join our innovative and dynamic Renal Team based at Castle Vale Renal Unit and Glaxo Renal Unit.
This is an excellent opportunity for Health Care Assistants who are eager to develop their career within a specialist haemodialysis setting and become part of a supportive, forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.
About the Units
Castle Vale Renal Unit
A nurse-led satellite dialysis unit located in a Business Park setting, Castle Vale provides outpatient haemodialysis services in a purpose-built environment. The unit operates:
*36 dialysis stations
*Six days per week service
*Three shift patterns
The team is committed to delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care to individuals with chronic kidney disease.
Glaxo Renal Unit
The Glaxo Renal Unit provides haemodialysis services to the chronic renal population and operates:
*33 dialysis stations
*Support for acute renal patients on Ward 3 at Heartlands Hospital Dialysis services for in-patients as required, seven days per week service.
This varied setting offers valuable exposure to both chronic and acute renal care, enabling excellent professional development opportunities.

Main Duties & Tasks
As a Health Care Assistant within our Renal Services team, you will:
*Support registered nurses in delivering high-quality haemodialysis care
*Assist in the preparation and monitoring of dialysis treatment
*Provide compassionate, patient-focused support throughout treatment sessions
*Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment
*Develop specialist knowledge and skills within renal care
