Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy Cardiology Department as a fulltime Band 4 Associate Clinical Physiologist. This varied role includes analysing ambulatory monitors, reveals and downloaded blood pressure recordings, and supporting the specialised pacing and remote monitoring services. You will assist with patient care, paperwork, and service record maintenance, and act as second operator during exercise testing and CPEX. The role also supports ACHD shuttle tests when required. Applicants should have ECG department experience, strong ECG interpretation skills, and be working towards the Diploma in Electrocardiography. Duties also include stock management, equipment checks and appointment support.

Main duties of the job

Cardiology We have an exciting opportunity to join our very busy Cardiology Department as a fulltime Band 4 Associate Clinical Physiologist. This is a varied and interesting role within a dynamic and supportive team. We are looking for a motivated individual who can contribute to delivering a seamless service, including the analysis of all ambulatory monitors and downloading blood pressure recordings.

You will also be involved in the highly specialised pacing service, providing support to the remote monitoring service. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate service records, assisting with patients and associated paperwork, and providing operational support. You will also act as the second operator for exercise testing and CPET, and provide support to the ACHD team during shuttle tests and other required procedures. For this role, you should have experience working within an ECG department, with extensive knowledge of ECG interpretation, and be working towards or already holding the Diploma in Electrocardiography. Additional duties include responsibility for stock management, ordering nonstock items as required, supporting equipment maintenance, and assisting with the arrangement of patient appointments.
