The Imaging Department at Solihull Hospital (part of UHB NHS Trust Birmingham) have vacancies for Imaging Department Assistants to join their busy, friendly team. Radiology provides a wide range of imaging investigations within various imaging modalities, including plain film, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Procedures

We will accept applicants looking for full or part time hours.

Applicants must have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent Trust based competency.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve working within a multidisciplinary team, providing high quality patient care during imaging investigations. The duties of the post include supporting radiographers, radiologists, nurses and sonographers as well as assisting with cleaning and manual handling, while rotating through all areas of the Imaging department.

You should ideally have excellent communication skills and computer literacy. You should have a desire to expand beyond your current experiences with a willingness to meet new challenges.

Previous clinical experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.

You will need to be flexible in your approach to work and be able to work varied shifts across a 7 day week 24 hours rota. In-house training will be provided.
