Job summary

Are you an experienced theatre practitioner looking to step into a leadership role and further develop your clinical and managerial skills? An exciting 12-month secondment has become available for a motivated and dynamic Band 6 Team Leader within our busy and diverse Operating Theatres Department at Elective Hub Theatres Solihull. One post being full time at 37.5 hours P/W, one being part time at 33 hours P/W.

As a Band 6 Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day coordination of theatre activity across a range of specialised services. The full-time post will be predominantly within orthopaedic surgery, and the part time post will be primarily within the recovery area.

You'll work closely with the Theatre Manager, Senior Nursing Team, Anaesthetic teams, and Surgeons to ensure smooth, safe, and effective patient flow. You'll also support the delivery of high clinical standards, mentor junior staff, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • *Knowledge of a broad range of theatre procedures and instrumentation/ processes equivalent to post graduate level acquired through Diploma / Degree plus experience and further study or qualification or an equivalent level of knowledge associated with the practice setting
