Job summary
To provide an efficient receptionist service to all visitors attending the Department and maintain a sensitive friendly approach.
Working on the reception desk meeting and greeting staff and visitors; dealing with general enquiries, answering the telephone, and carrying out administrative duties.
Main duties of the job
*To welcome staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, dealing with enquiries appropriately.
*Receiving and sending emails, sending faxes, dealing with photocopying and distribution of copies as instructed by Line Manager
*Receiving and distributing of daily post/ deliveries and action as required
*Undertake filing of CTG'S and request notes from Medical Records for the CTG's to be filled into
*Answering the telephone in a courteous manner recording all messages accurately and referring on appropriately
*Maintain confidentiality of records on the telephone in conversation and in writing
*Ensure the reception area is kept tidy.
*Organise ordering of stationery and storage
*Report any problems to line manager as appropriate.
*Book patient in and out of the unit using Oceano
*Make appointments for patients for both scan and consultant appointments
*Print out labels for patients to be seen in the unit
*Rotation of three reception desks between MUAU, DAU and main reception in POW
