B6 People Advisor £38682- £46,580 & B7 Senior People Advisor £47,810 - £54,710

QE Birmingham isn't just one of the UK's largest teaching hospitals - it's where 12,000 people come together to deliver world-class care. Home to the major trauma centre, one of the busiest ED's in the country, over 25 surgical theatres, a renowned cancer treatment centre, and a nationally recognised centre of excellence for clinical research. This is healthcare at scale, pace, and significance

We're beginning 2026 with clarity of purpose. After a period of unprecedented change and challenge, we're rebuilding our People Directorate with intention - and we're looking for HR practitioners who want to be part of that

This isn't about papering over cracks. It's about embedding sustainable change that lasts

We need HR professionals who can cut through noise to find the root cause. People who can distinguish between what's urgent and what actually matters

You'll thrive here if you:

*See patterns where others see chaos

*Ask the difficult questions with compassion, not to please

*Bring a measured, dynamic approach to complex situations

*Know when to probe deeper and when to act decisively

*Want to build something meaningful rather than maintain the status quo

Main duties of the job

We're not looking for people pleasers. We're looking for professionals who can balance compassion, courage to challenge, the wisdom to listen, and the backbone to drive change that sticks

The honeymoon period will be brief. You'll be in the thick of it - navigating competing priorities, working with clinical and non-clinical teams who are under pressure to deliver exceptional care every single day

But here's what makes it worth it: you'll see the impact of your work fast. When you solve a problem that's been holding a team back, when you support a colleague through a difficult situation, when you help create the conditions for better patient care - you'll know. The rewards are tangible and they come quickly

You'll handle the kind of complex, high-stakes casework that accelerates professional development and builds expertise many HR professionals never encounter

Support will come in bundles from the experienced AD of People and a directorate of specialist colleagues who understand what it takes to succeed in today's NHS

We offer tailored hybrid working arrangements that acknowledge the intensity of the role and respect your need for balance while having the confidence in you to ensure you are visible to stakeholders and on site with them when it matters

If you're an experienced HR practitioner who can operate effectively in demanding, high-pressure environments- where you can roll up your sleeves, break down barriers, and deliver pragmatic solutions when it counts, we want to hear from you
