We are recruiting to a Clinical Lead for Physiotherapy Inpatients on the QE site at UHB. The post involves the day to day management, monitoring and provision of the inpatient Physiotherapy service across all specialities at QE hospital. The post holder will work closely with the professional leads for Physiotherapy and Outpatient Clinical Lead on the QE site to help to develop and lead the Physiotherapy service within the clinical pathways at UHB. You will hold your own complex small clinical caseload whilst managing, clinically supervising and developing various specialist teams of Physiotherapists and assistants. You will support service quality improvement initiatives ensuring patient outcomes are optimised. You will contribute to Physiotherapy, Therapy Services and Trust wide policies, strategies, guidelines, standards and protocols.

Main duties of the job
This post is ideal for a Physiotherapist wishing to use and develop their clinical, leadership and service development skills. The post holder must be an experienced, proactive and innovative Physiotherapist with a strong ability to work independently and make decisions on behalf of the Physiotherapy team. We are a large and friendly Physiotherapy service of over 170 staff including assistants, providing Physiotherapy across all specialities of the site. The successful applicant will work as integral members of the therapies and wider team, building working relationships with other multi-professionals across UHB. You will develop and take part in clinical audit, research, guidelines development and other service initiatives. There is a requirement to be part of our on-call service .
You will need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, adhere to the Trust Behavioural Framework, build positive relationships and be adaptable and confident to work autonomously and with other members of staff within a supportive team. We expect you to be enthusiastic, motivated, flexible able to evidence continuing professional development and keen to develop yourself and others. Significant experience in a wide variety of acute physiotherapy specialities is essential.
