Band 2 Clinical Support Worker/Band 3 Healthcare Assistant
The closing date is 15 January 2026
Job summary
Do you have previous healthcare experience and a natural desire to put others first? Do you find fulfilment in making a difference, offering comfort, dignity and kindness when people need it most? If so, Good Hope Hospital would be delighted to welcome you to our team.
We are proud to care for our patients and community across Birmingham and surrounding areas, delivering safe, compassionate, high-quality care every day. To continue this, we're looking for people with hands-on healthcare experience who share our values and want to develop their career. Bring the right attitude and experience, and we'll support you every step of the way.
From your first day, you'll receive a full Trust induction, ongoing training and development, and the opportunity to complete the Care Certificate. Once achieved, you'll progress to Band 3 (if not already), with further support from colleagues and our School of Nursing. Many of our nurses started as Healthcare Assistants, making this role a strong first step on a rewarding career path.
We also offer flexible working, with most areas providing 12.5-hour shifts across days, nights and weekends, typically three or four shifts per week, allowing a better work-life balance.
To apply, you'll need previous healthcare experience and GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent), or an original ENIC conversion certificate.
If you're ready to make a real difference and join a team that truly values you, we'd love to hear from you.

In return, you can expect a permanent contract with one of the NHS's largest Trusts, access to the NHS Pension Scheme, and additional benefits such as overtime opportunities, shift allowances and eligibility for the Blue Light Discount Card.
