Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in UHB's Teledermatology service. You will be at the forefront of the service, preparing for clinics, meeting patients, typing up medical histories and assisting qualified photographers in taking high quality images of skin lesions.
We are looking for an organised, motivated individual who is skilled in administration, can use basic computer software and is personable. You will provide a comprehensive and effective service to support the smooth and efficient running of the community-based Teledermatology Photography service.
You'll be working in a supervised and supportive environment and be required to communicate effectively and courteously with a range of internal and external personnel, patients and carers. You will need to provide a high level of customer service delivery when coming into contact with patients.
You'll be working in clinics covering different hospital and community sites such as the QE Hospital, Washwood Heath Health Centre and Grove Road Clinic, to support the service so will need to be able to travel.
You will be working as part of the Clinical Photography team alongside other staff within the department, undertaking admin processes accurately and efficiently to assist in providing a service to multidisciplinary teams across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
You will work alongside our photographers as well as using a variety of Trust systems to outcome appointments. You will need to:
- Manage your own workload on a daily basis to meet the demands of the service.
- Work closely with Teledermatology photographers to run efficient appointments.
- Provide support to temporary bank staff within the Teledermatology Service
- Complete necessary clinic preparation and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and saved securely.
- Maintain appropriate levels of stock to meet the photographic requirements of each individual site.
- Accurately take notes, following processes and protocols to ensure all patient information and clinic information is accurate, complete and thorough.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and able to deal with last minute changes or issues in a calm and professional manner.
