Band 3 Theatre Services Coordinator - Hub Elective theatres

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Services Co-ordinator at Solihull Hospital Surgical Theatres, who will be an integral part of the wider theatres team. This role will entail assisting to ensure appropriate and effective delivery of services to support and maintain the environment and services to our patients and the department.

The workload will be varied and at times, however being able to prioritise your workload, liaise with colleagues and multitask in an efficient manner will allow you to perform the role effectively.

Success will see you use your excellent communication and organisational skills and be confident to make judgements unaided. You will be able to work proactively to problem solve and work on your own initiative.

You will work within Theatres and be exposed to live operations to include Colorectal, Urology, Breast, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Robotic & Upper Gastrointestinal. Prior to applying you may wish to consider if this is a comfortable environment for you to work in.

You will cover an array of Theatre-based activities to include:

Working collaboratively with Housekeeping, Decontamination and Portering colleagues ensuring our patients receive the best service during their time with us.

Supporting Theatres with the collection of patients

Must possess I.T skills.

Ensuring all stock levels of consumables are monitored.

Liaising with companies and sterile services to ensure specialist kit and implants are available and ready to use in theatre.

Ensuring environment is maintained and kept tidy.

Preparing area of work for change or deep clean

Flexibility across the department working with the wider team

Success will see you supporting our valued colleagues in the delivery of the clinical duties whilst advancing your skills and advancing your career objectives.

All the above comes with a remuneration package of a Band 3 -- which currently stands at includes a starting salary of 24,072 rising to 25,674 along with benefits to include 27 days + bank holidays with the opportunity to buy and sell leave and a renowned NHS pension to name a few.
