An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and passionate Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join a busy and vital therapy team at Good Hope Hospital.
The post would be suited to an experienced occupational therapist with established experience in stroke and neurology care, with strong clinical, leadership, and organisational skills
The role will offer autonomy, variety and development opportunities; for leadership, learning and clinical skills.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for leading and managing the stroke and neurology therapy caseload, alongside the Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist. You will be able to provide clinical excellence and intervention in the day to day running of the service, ensuring that all patients are given appropriate and effective therapy treatment across all wards.
You will be joining a well-established and respected team and have opportunities to develop the OT service in the acute setting. You will be expected to contribute to a weekend service as part of your role.

- *Current registration with Health and Care Professions Council , OT register.
- *Occupational Therapy degree qualification or equivalent, and significant NHS post graduate experience
- *Documented evidence of Continued Professional Development of relevant specialist knowledge and skills
- *Good standard of general education including GCSE maths and English grade C and above.
Desirable
- *Evidence of leadership training.
- *Membership of a professional special interest group or national/regional network (RCOT specialist section neurological practice
- *Recent post graduate training relevant to clinical speciality.

- *A specialist knowledge across a range of occupational therapy practices, routine and non-routine, requiring relevant specialist knowledge in the field of stroke and neurology.
