Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of an enthusiastic, well organised administrator to join the busy safeguarding team at University Hospitals Birmingham, primarily based at Heartlands Hospital but may require some cross site working. The post holder will be part of an administrative team supporting adult and child safeguarding nurses across Acute and Community settings.
Candidates should feel confident that they can cope with the highly emotive subject matter that they will be exposed to.
The role does not involve any patient contact. It is predominantly system interrogation/data inputting on a variety of systems, requiring a good level of initiative and judgement.
A DBS check will be required for this post.
33.75 hours per week Mon-Fri

This role involves dealing with explicit details of child abuse and neglect on a daily basis. Main duties of the job
To manage this very busy environment you will need to be flexible, with superior organisational, time management and communication skills. The information received and processed within the department is highly sensitive. It is essential that the post holder understands and maintains confidentiality at all times. Data needs to be processed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
The successful candidate will be a point of contact for internal and external partners, including Police and Social Care. A professional manner and the ability to communicate confidently and courteously is required.
