We are excited to offer an opportunity for an outstanding Therapy Lead -- Professional Lead for Physiotherapy In-patients at QEHB We are seeking a values-driven leader with a passion for high-quality care, multi-professional collaborative working &staff well being. The Physiotherapy service is an exemplar service for research & innovation with a rich professional diversity & provides input across a wide range of clinical areas, including regional/supra-regional specialities such as Liver Transplants, Burns, Cancer, Neurosurgery & is a Major Trauma Centre; additionally is Europe's largest co-located critical care unit.This postholder will work alongside the Physiotherapy Lead for Out-patients to deliver operationally & support development off all registered &non-registered colleagues. The Physiotherapy service has a collaborative working relationship with the RCDM. This role is embedded within the new site based delivery model & is part of the leadership team at Divisional level. With a CQC rating of "Good" for being Well Led we are looking for a strategic thinker with vision, strong clinical leadership & an advocate for not only Physiotherapy but for the other Therapy Services.

Main duties of the job
This is a leadership role which will have responsibility for the strategic planning, professional management, organisational development, & clinical delivery of Physiotherapy at QEHB.
The post holder will provide clinical leadership which inspires, motivates & empowers Physiotherapists involved in multiple clinical pathways within QEHB. The post holder will be responsible for effectively managing this professional group of in-patient Physiotherapy staff which is in excess of 170 colleagues & the associated financial resources, managing the optimal development of the workforce to ensure a high quality of patient care is delivered, monitored and maintained. This includes an out of hours on-call service.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication & interpersonal skills, proven track record of organisational delivery in line with local & national targets, ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders & flexibility to deliver time limited projects.
The post holder will contribute as part of the Therapy Leadership Team to corporate/ CDG initiatives & plans, which may include changes in patient care, delivery & quality. This is in collaboration with key stakeholders internal and external to Therapy Services with an emphasis on the postholder being and advocate for other professions.
It is desirable that the post holder undertake clinical sessions within a specific area of clinical expertise but not essential.
