Job summary

Come and join our dedicated, friendly Team at the UHB Radiopharmacy! This exciting role is ideal for you if you'd like to gain experience working in a busy, centralised Radiopharmacy involved in many new and exciting areas alongside those which are more established. As well as making radiopharmaceuticals for patients in Nuclear Medicine departments across the West Midlands, we make Gallium-68 products, which are important for cancer diagnosis and treatment in some of our oncology patients and are getting involved in cutting edge science with our new research and development and clinical trials services.

You will be supporting our MHRA Licensed Radiopharmacy by participating in the safe and accurate aseptic manufacturing and dispensing of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, blood cell labelling and the manufacture of gallium radiolabelled products.

The Radiopharmacy Department is expanding its services, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work with the existing team to drive forward change. The Department operates under a Pharmaceutical Quality System, and the successful post-holder will be essential in delivering a high-quality service.

Main duties of the job

This post involves the routine day-to-day duties to support radiopharmaceutical manufacture, including, but not limited to, the preparation of manufacturing equipment, assembling manufacturing consumables and sundries, stock control, radiation monitoring, quality assurance and the cleaning, maintenance and environmental monitoring of equipment and work areas. The post holder will also be responsible for the consignment of packages to customers, receipting deliveries and maintaining documentation and records.

No experience is required as full training will be given. This post requires an individual who is keen to learn with excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills and a methodical approach to work. If this sounds like you, please get in touch with us.
