We have an opportunity for the post of Associate Director of Nursing at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham
Reporting to Joanne Basketfield, Hospital Director of Nursing for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital , the post holder will provide nursing professional leadership and management and oversee the financial and clinical governance across their Clinical Decision Group (CDG).
Main duties of the job
Applicants should have a proven record of operational service management at a Matron level or above within an acute hospital setting. You will be a confident and committed clinical leader who is driven by challenges and demonstrates personal resilience working in a fast-moving and changing care environment.
You should have experience at a senior level in staff, financial and change management, leading by example, motivating and empowering teams to ensure consistently high standards of care and patient experience are set and delivered.
The successful post holder will, in conjunction with the Associate Director of Operations and Associate Medical Director, participate in and lead innovative, improvement projects which support the quality and performance agenda within the CDG. In addition, you will have responsibility for ensuring both operational, productivity and safety agendas are achieved and maintained, improving the quality and experience of care and patient outcomes, driving transformation through agreed models of change.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership and management skills and be supported by a well-established senior management team and professionally managed by the site Director of Nursing.

- * Adult/Child/Midwife NMC Registered Practitioner (Adult/Child/Midwife dependent upon post (E)
- * First Degree in Nursing or health related subject or equivalent (E)
- * Masters in a Health Related Subject or equivalent demonstrable experience supplemented by specialist training, experience or short courses to doctorate level or equivalent (E)
- * Evidence of recent post registration continuous professional development/qualification (E)
- * Evidence of accredited management / leadership training or evidence of practical application of expertise at this level (E)
