Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate individual to join the Solihull Community Podiatry Service as a Clinical Co-ordinator based at Chelmsley Wood Primary Care Centre.
The post holder will work as part of a friendly and dedicated administrative team providing comprehensive coordination and administrative support to the clinical podiatry services. You will help ensure patients receive a professional, efficient, and compassionate service throughout their care journey.
Working under indirect supervision, you will manage patient pathways, coordinate clinic schedules, and maintain accurate clinical information systems. You will liaise with patients, clinical staff, and external partners to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the service, contributing to a seamless patient experience.
This role would suit someone who is well organised, approachable, and enjoys working in a busy, patient-focused environment. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the Podiatry and Foot Health Service, ensuring an efficient, patient-focused approach. You will act as a first point of contact for patients, clinicians and external agencies, managing queries with professionalism and compassion. Key responsibilities include scheduling and amending clinic appointments, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring accessibility needs are met in line with Trust and NHS guidelines. You will coordinate staff rotas, meetings and case conferences, liaise with medical records to ensure notes are available, and process referrals and follow-up appointments including DNAs. The role involves data entry and reporting using Trust systems such as SystmOne, supporting audits and service improvement activities, and contributing to the smooth running of daily operations. You will handle sensitive information confidentially, communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, and remain calm and organised when managing competing priorities in a busy clinical environment.
