Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our Hardworking, Dynamic Housekeeping team at Solihull Hospital. The housekeeping team are an operational service that are integral to patient care and the daily function of the Solihull Hospital site. The team are responsible for cleaning all areas of the site, and ensuring patients are served hot meals, working in conjunction with our wider facilities team that include Portering and Catering.
The person applying must demonstrate our Trust values of Kind, Connected and Bold in their daily lives. The role involves keeping the environment clean in line with the National Cleaning Standards for Healthcare and ensuring our service users receive the best possible care from the housekeeping team.
The post holder must be hardworking, dynamic and work well within our large diverse facilities team, and in return the Trust offers competitive terms and conditions for personal pensions and paid annual leave.
Main duties of the job
Cleaning all wards and departments.
Deep Cleaning Infected bed spaces
Working at high pace in line with demand for site bed capacity.
Serving and preparing food for inpatients, including hot and cold beverage rounds daily.
removing all waste streams in line with Trust waste management procedures.
Using Cleaning Machinery and equipment, including chemicals.
The role is a physical role.
