Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated clinician, with a background in vestibular care to join our dynamic Audiology Team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. This full-time Band 6 role is ideal for someone looking to grow their clinical expertise in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
You'll work autonomously with a wide range of patients, delivering high-quality assessment and rehabilitation for complex auditory and vestibular needs. The role also includes participation in bone conduction implant and Specialist Rehabilitation clinics, as well as opportunities to contribute to clinical training, service development, and quality assurance.

Main duties of the job
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical responsibilities
* Perform all aspects of routine hearing assessment without supervision, including Puretone Audiometry and assessment of middle ear function
* Independently select and perform complex and advanced diagnostic investigation of hearing, balance and speech discrimination. This may include, but is not limited to;
Investigation of speech discrimination
Sound Field Evaluation
Assessment of auditory processing disorders
Vestibular function testing
Evoked response audiometry
Oto-acoustic emissions
* Perform detailed analysis and interpretation of results. Provide reports for referrers offering full explanation of results, and recommending rehabilitation options when appropriate
* Provide advice and diagnosis to patients with complex hearing needs, offering referral to other specialities where appropriate. Counsel patients with regard to their hearing difficulties and guide them in making a joint decision about their individual hearing needs
* Perform detailed assessment of patients hearing and speech perception to establish their suitability for bone conduction hearing implant devices
* To support the assessment of hearing and speech perception in severe to profoundly deaf adults as part of the process of selection for Cochlear Implantation
