Band 7 Deputy Clinical Site Manager

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen at QEHB for an experienced leader who is keen to develop their managerial portfolio. The Band 7 DCSM will support the Clinical Site Manager in maintaining the safety and integrity of the whole site both in and out of hours. The role is instrumental in progressing the patient journey from admission to discharge, as well as being a credible, expert resource for clinical teams across the site.

Main duties of the job

An integral part of the Site Management Team, the postholder will provide visible leadership, supporting the both the clinical and ancillary teams across the site to maintain and manage patient flow, ensuring that pathways are maintained to deliver the best care to our patients. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring standards are maintained and exceeded. This is an exciting opportunity for an established clinical leader.

  • * Registered Nurse on the NMC register / Registered professional on the HCPC Register (E)
  • * Evidence of post registration CPD / Post registration qualification in (appropriate area of speciality or professional knowledge supplemented by specialist experience and short courses to degree / post graduate level equivalent ( E )

Desirable

  • * Teaching and Assessing qualification, i.e. C&G 730/ENB 998 or equivalent.
  • * ALS / ILS Resuscitation Course

  • * Evidence and ability to revalidate as required by the NMC/ HCPC
  • * Significant post registration experience as a Registered Nurse at B6 or above in defined or associated speciality
  • * Extensive experience of working autonomously at a specialist level
  • * Evidence to support a program of personal and professional development
  • * Experience of leading and managing a team
  • * Up to date clinical experience in acute areas including evidence of skills updates
  • * Working in a multi-disciplinary and cross agency work environment
