Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated member of staff to join our Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) Department at University Hospitals Birmingham.
We are looking to recruit a Band 4 Research Aministrator/ PA to provide comprehensive administration support primarily to the senior leadership team within the RD&I Department and also for the wider RD&I teams.
The successful candidate will be based on site within the Institute of Translational Medicine (ITM) at QEHB. The post holder is required to work effectively with all members of the team to support the effective and smooth running of the department. The ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiatic, pro-active, positive and friendly.

Main duties of the job
This role requires excellent organisational, prioritisation skills with experience in complex diary and inbox management.
Drafting meeting agenda's, organising room bookings for meetings, formatting and distributing meeting papers and accurate formal minute taking.
Providing administrative support for local, divisional and national meetings as well as organising travel and accommodation.
Use of Finance systems for ordering and processing payments. Ordering of goods, maintaing stock levels.
This role will require an individual with excellent organisational and communication skills, effective time management, and the ability to work with minimum supervision. Also required is experience in using all Microsoft packages.
