Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity within the Respiratory Medicine Department for a B2 Administrator / Co-ordinator to join our team. We are an extremely fast paced and busy department delivering care to patients with a variety of respiratory conditions. The successful candidate will need to work as part of a wider team of medical secretaries, secretaries and clinic co-ordinators supporting a large group of Respiratory Consultants. The work is varied and demanding, and this role will provide the perfect opportunity for someone to add to existing skills, or who is keen to learn all aspects of the supportive administrative processes within the NHS.
Main duties of the job
We need someone with a flexible approach who works well within a team however can also work independently when required. Attention to detail is paramount with good organisation skills. An understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
The role will support a variety of clerical and administrative work including:
Processing letters via our medical dictation systems, printing letters and sending these out.
Data input, accurately inputting date using a variety of Trust IT systems in a timely way.
Receiving and opening post.
Scanning confidential information onto medical records systems.
Supporting the wider administrative team with clinical appointment bookings and other duties within the job description.
