Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the fast paced and busy Waiting List Booking Teams based at Solihull Hospital.
The posts are full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 9-5
What We're Looking For:
Confidence in working with IT systems and data entry
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A proactive mindset, keen to contribute to an exciting and evolving initiative
A patient-focused approach with excellent communication skills. You will need to be able to clearly articular information to patients as well as external providers/hospital, therefore must be confident when speaking directly and digitally to key stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
As part of a large team of Waiting List Co-ordinators, the post holder will individually manage elective waiting lists for our specialities, Booking surgery dates, ensuring pre -ops are booked and theatre lists are fully utilised.
Working with Microsoft systems including Excel, Outlook and teams. as well as NHS systems to ensure Surgery lists are fully booked following 6-4-2 policy.
The post holder will also answer telephone queries from patients, work closely with Speciality Managers and clinical staff including theatres.
This role is pivotal in facilitating patient choice, working closely with the internal DrDoctor team, the Operational Performance Team to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
