Job summary

An exciting opportunity to join the Haematology Research Team, based at University Hospitals Birmingham. The post holder will be a key member of the team in the provision of clinical trials and research projects available to our patients.

The post holder will provide a range of administrative support. The successful candidate will have effective administrative and computer skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you should be able to work on your own initiative in prioritising workload and meeting deadlines, whilst also being able to work in a team. Responsible for managing the day to day admin tasks within the team, such as meeting planning, room bookings, answering emails, telephone calls, filing, scanning etc.

Previous office experience required, excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.

Maths & English at GCSE level, Grade C or above.

Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.

Use own initiative.

Accurate and attentive to detail.

Excellent numerical and written skills.
