Band 4 27,485 -- 30,162 plus (20% RRP reviewed annually)
We are looking to appoint a part time dedicated and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills to join our multisite Clinical Coding team.
You will need to be a NCCQ Clinical Coder or have equivalent knowledge base using ICD 10 and OPCS 4.10 and be able to demonstrate application of clinical coding standards which supports our objective of providing a high-quality standard of Clinical Coding across the trust.

Main duties of the job
Core Duties:
- Extract and interpret complex clinical information from patient records.
- Apply ICD-10 and OPCS-4 coding standards with precision.
- Ensure compliance with NHS Digital and WHO coding guidelines.
- Collaborate with clinicians and senior managers to improve coding accuracy and develop policies.
- Contribute to mortality reviews and data quality initiatives.
- Help mentor junior coders and support team development.
Key Skills:
* Expert in ICD-10, OPCS-4, SNOMED CT, and national coding standards
* Strong grasp of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical documentation
* High accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking
* Proficient in EHR systems and coding software
* Skilled communicator with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
* Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and support audit processes
* Committed to data quality, continuous learning, and mentoring others
