Job summary
Primary responsibility is to the Device Service, providing a prompt and efficient service for both inpatients and outpatients. This post incorporates various aspects of patient care, housekeeping and administration to ensure a seamless and professional service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will actively participate in organising and maintaining the device service as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a seamless service to patients under the supervision of Cardiologists, Registrars and Cardiac Physiologists.
To prioritise own workload to ensure that all deadlines are met, ensuring all appointments are sent out on time and that clinics are booked and triage of waiting list is within targets set.
To arrange all appointments for clinics and domiciliary visits, cancelling and re-arranging of clinics.
To maintain a booking system for device appointments for specific clinics to include inpatient appointments and requirements to attend other areas of the site. Reporting on a regular basis any slippage in appointments to the Lead for CRM.
To carry out all administration procedures involved with the accurate registering of new patients and deceasing on the computer system.
To accurately recruit patients to remote monitoring services
To work closely with Physiologists to minimise waiting times for patients including swift hand over of request/messages
To take part in develop and run audit programmes for the CRM service.
