Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the busy Appointments Centre for University Hospitals Birmingham which includes Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital, Queen Elizabeth and Solihull Hospital.
We have multiple part time posts available below, all of these posts are based within a Call Centre.
X2 Part time Positions available
22.5 hours per week - Monday - Wednesday 8:30 - 16:30
22.5 hours per week - Wednesday - Friday 8:30 - 16:30
15 hours per week - Tuesday and Friday - 8:00- 16:30
This role will be based at the Appointment Centre at 163 Yardley Green Road working within the Call Centre, which is part of the larger Team of circa 85+ staff who are based in the Appointment Centre.
Main duties of the job
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working in conjunction with colleagues, service users and stakeholders to provide an efficient clerical support service
The overall activities of the post-holder will include:
You will be required to undertake a variety of clerical tasks including:
Word processing creating basic documents
Data input, accurately inputting data using a variety of Trust IT systems in a timely way
Undertake filing, photocopying, scanning of documents as required
Answering the telephone and taking messages, dealing with them in a timely and efficient way and referring on as appropriate
Receive and open incoming post and take action as required
Review and action electronic correspondence and disseminate appropriately
Organise own day-to-day work tasks showing an ability to prioritise in order to achieve set timescales
Undertake work that has been prioritised by the Supervisor / Line Manager.
Prepare and scan information onto the Trust IT systems
Ability to make decisions and take actions within the team relating to routine enquiries, whilst receiving support and supervisor.
